Head - Cost Control Engineering (Manager, Estimating)
About the Job:

As part of a team of 51,000 employees across 49 countries and 120 office locations, the Head of Cost Control Engineering will play a pivotal role in leading complex projects and managing cost control initiatives. This position ensures project cost control accuracy, integrity, and reporting while working closely with management and clients.
Primary Objective:
- Coordinate overall cost analysis activities for major complex projects.
- Assume responsibility for the preparation and accuracy of project cost reports.
- Liaise with project management and clients on all cost control matters.
- Lead and mentor a team of cost analysis staff.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Prioritize tasks related to multi-project and organizational impact situations.
- Work with Worley Corporate and client accounting teams to establish cost control and reporting methods.
- Develop, implement, and manage project accounting and job costing systems to meet project requirements.
- Take ownership of cost control functions and maintain data integrity.
- Interface with project personnel for forecasting and cost analysis.
- Lead, assign, and review work of the cost control staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
- Liaise with clients to resolve cost issues and develop timely and meaningful invoices.
- Manage change control and prepare project invoices.
- Prepare monthly financial and ad-hoc reports, including budget preparations and cash flow projections.
- Coordinate with other team members on cost, planning, and procurement matters.
- Promote continuous improvement practices for cost-effectiveness and quality outcomes.
- Develop and maintain a skilled cost control team through leadership, training, and innovation.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in engineering/construction, or a Chartered Accountant/CPA qualification.
- Strong experience in cost and project control computer applications and cost risk analysis.
- Expertise in budget management, time management, and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of industry-standard practices in cost control, project management systems, and tools (e.g., P3/P3e, SAP).
- Demonstrated experience in the oil and gas industry and commitment to HSE management in a project environment.

- تطوير فريق مؤهل في التحكم في التكاليف من خلال القيادة والتدريب.
المهارات/الخبرة المطلوبة:
- درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة أو ما يعادلها من الخبرة في الهندسة/البناء أو مؤهل محاسب معتمد (CPA).
- خبرة قوية في تطبيقات التحكم في التكاليف والمشاريع وتحليل المخاطر.
- خبرة في إدارة الميزانيات، وإدارة الوقت، وتخصيص الموارد.
- معرفة بالممارسات القياسية للصناعة في التحكم في التكاليف وأنظمة إدارة المشاريع (مثل P3/P3e، SAP).
- خبرة في صناعة النفط والغاز والتزام بإدارة الصحة والسلامة (HSE).
