Job Summary
As an accountant at Seaworks Co., you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with local and company standards. You will contribute to a variety of accounting functions, from invoicing and reconciliations to financial reporting and project cost allocation.
Position: Accountant – Kuwait
Job Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using accounting software
Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely payments and collections
Process payments to suppliers and ensure accurate settlement of invoices
Allocate revenue and costs accurately to project codes and cost centers
Prepare bank application forms for guarantees, bonds, and similar financial instruments
Reconcile financial records with monthly bank statements
Maintain a detailed asset register and ensure proper allocation within the system
Monitor the status of issued cheques and their clearance
Manage petty cash with accurate recording and supporting documentation
Assist with monthly closings and preparation of financial statements
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and support audits
Carry out additional tasks assigned by the department head or management
Qualifications
B.Sc. in Accounting, Certified Chartered Accountant, or a related field
3-5 years of accounting experience, including 2 years of auditing experience (preferably with an auditing firm)
Knowledge of international trading operations
Proficiency in accounting software (Sage), MS Excel, and Access
Fluency in English required; Arabic is a plus
Strong analytical, reconciliation skills, and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently

إتمام المهام الإضافية التي قد يكلف بها رئيس القسم أو الإدارة
المؤهلات
شهادة بكالوريوس في المحاسبة أو محاسب معتمد أو مجال ذي صلة
خبرة من 3-5 سنوات في المحاسبة، بما في ذلك سنتين من الخبرة في التدقيق (يفضل في شركة تدقيق)
معرفة في العمليات التجارية الدولية
إجادة استخدام برامج المحاسبة (Sage) وMS Excel وAccess
إجادة اللغة الإنجليزية شرط أساسي؛ معرفة اللغة العربية ميزة إضافية
مهارات تحليلية عالية وقدرة على التسوية مع اهتمام كبير بالتفاصيل
