• Understand the school Mission and Vision and deliver results based on expectations.

Sustaining a Culture of High Expectations in Teaching, Learning, and Assessment:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and tests that are in accordance with established procedures.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.

• Observe and evaluate student’s performance and development.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
• Achieve the yearly subject-wise goals for the year with strong instructional strategies; this will include helping each student in the class achieve their individual learning goals and working collaboratively with other teachers to share knowledge and information.
• Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs, and student organizations as directed.

• Update all necessary records accurately and completely in the student information system.

Social Worker   

Job Description

General expectations:

• Communicate via email with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a written track of all discussions, plans, and concerns the social worker may have. This could be supported further with verbal communication, to clarify a written communication.
• Ensure that quarterly student-centered meetings are held to discuss the needs of students at risk (students with academic and/or behavior issues) in the school: i. First level: Classroom teacher, Arabic teacher, Social worker, Arabic Coordinator, ESL teacher if relevant, and principal/ Vice Principal.
  ii. Second level: Parent, classroom teacher, social worker, Arabic coordinator, and Principal/VP.
• If there are concerns about a student possibly having learning difficulties, work with the parents to get an external evaluation done by CBS-approved government/private evaluation centers.

•  This will need prior proof from the classroom teacher and approval of the Principal before a formal request is made to the parent. Such cases should be identified by the end of September, especially for newly registered students.
• Liaise and build relationships with the MOE inspectors to ensure that CBS meets expectations and that CBS can get the necessary support from MOE to address school concerns/needs with regards to effectively solving the needs of students at risk, students of academic concern, and dealing with difficult parents.

• Spend time regularly in learning and self-development so that you can effectively deal with student behavior issues and help students focus better on their learning at CBS.

• التأكد من عقد اجتماعات فصلية تركز على الطالب لمناقشة احتياجات الطلاب المعرضين للخطر (الطلاب الذين يعانون من مشاكل أكاديمية و/أو سلوكية) في المدرسة: 1. المستوى الأول: معلم الفصل، معلم اللغة العربية، الأخصائي الاجتماعي، منسق اللغة العربية، معلم اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة ثانية (إن وجد)، ومدير المدرسة/نائب المدير.
  2. المستوى الثاني: ولي الأمر، معلم الفصل، الأخصائي الاجتماعي، منسق اللغة العربية، ومدير المدرسة/نائب المدير.
• إذا كانت هناك مخاوف بشأن احتمال تعرض الطالب لصعوبات في التعلم، فاعمل مع الوالدين للحصول على تقييم خارجي من خلال مراكز التقييم الحكومية/الخاصة المعتمدة من CBS.

•  يتطلب هذا إثباتًا مسبقًا من معلم الفصل وموافقة مدير المدرسة قبل تقديم طلب رسمي إلى ولي الأمر. يجب تحديد هذه الحالات بنهاية سبتمبر، وخاصةً للطلاب الجدد.
