WE ARE HIRING

Airside Civil Engineer

Your Job

• You will be part of our Airside Construction Supervision team for Package 3, stationed in Kuwait for 2-3 years
• Out of a team of nearly 120 experts on site for Package 3 only, you will be part of the Civil Airside team of 18 experts (aviation specific)
• You will report to the Lead Airside Civil Engineer, and will also work closely together the other Lead and (Senior) Engineers in the Airside Civil Team, as well as with the Inspectors in your team. Besides, you will also support coordination with other Airside Teams to ensure proper Interface Management
• You will review various technical submittals of the Contractor relevant to the airside civil design including design documents, shop drawings, material submissions, etc. to ensure compliance with the specifications and design intent, all in accordance with the Project’s quality requirements and document control procedures
• You will actively involve in, and will closely work with the Inspectors in your team to supervise the Construction Works of the Contractor relevant to the Civil Design and Works, ensuring compliance to specifications and quality standards
• Within the boundaries of your scope and responsibility, you will support coordination with the Contractor and other Stakeholders if required

Your Profile

• You are a Civil Engineer, who is eager to work on this high-profile Airport development. You combine technical engineering knowledge with construction supervision know-how and skills. Having affinity with contract administration is an advantage. 

You have at least the following qualifications:

• M Sc / B Sc degree in Civil Engineering – lower degrees will not be accepted. Registration with a professional body for civil engineering will be an advantage
• A minimum of 10 years relevant working experience, of which a minimum of 5 years has been in the field of Airport Design & Construction with a specific focus on civil design of aprons, taxiways and runways – less working experience will not be accepted
• A minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar role as Civil Engineer on airport construction projects, preferably in the Middle East, will be an advantage
• Job specific knowledge and experience in the use and application of relevant airfield design standards such as ICAO and EASA
• You have experience in interacting with the Contractor and Subcontractor representatives to resolve technical issues, as well as interacting with Client and (other) Stakeholders
• Willingness to live and work in Kuwait for 2-3 years

In Addition, You Have

• The characteristics of a good team player
• Good interpersonal and communicative skills
• Good command of the English language in writing and presentation
• Good software skills and knowledge of geometric design packages (e.g. AutoCAD, Autodesk / Civil3D, AviPlan, Bluebeam, Aconex or similar software)

وظيفتك

يجب أن يكون لديك على الأقل المؤهلات التالية:

• درجة الماجستير/البكالوريوس في الهندسة المدنية - لن تُقبل الدرجات الأدنى. يُفضّل التسجيل في هيئة مهنية للهندسة المدنية.
• - خبرة عمل لا تقل عن 10 سنوات، منها 5 سنوات على الأقل في مجال تصميم وبناء المطارات مع التركيز بشكل خاص على التصميم المدني للمدرجات وممرات الطائرات والمدرجات - لن يتم قبول خبرة عمل أقل
• ستكون الخبرة العملية لمدة 5 سنوات على الأقل في دور مماثل كمهندس مدني في مشاريع بناء المطارات، ويفضل أن يكون ذلك في الشرق الأوسط، ميزة إضافية
• المعرفة والخبرة المحددة للوظيفة في استخدام وتطبيق معايير تصميم المطارات ذات الصلة مثل منظمة الطيران المدني الدولي ووكالة سلامة الطيران الأوروبية
