Planning Engineer

Job Summary

• The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring and updating project schedules to support construction activities and overall project operations. Duties include preparing baseline programs, tracking progress, forecasting timelines, identifying potential delays and recommending corrective actions. 
• The role also involves coordinating with project teams, reporting to management and engineers, analyzing resource allocations and helping maintain efficiency, transparency and timely completion of the project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in construction planning and project scheduling
• Strong understanding of construction processes, project controls and planning methodologies
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and other planning and scheduling tools
• Must have valid transferrable residency in Kuwait.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, update and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other planning tools.
• Develop baseline programs in coordination with project management and construction teams.
• Track project progress and provide regular updates and reports to management.
• Analyze project performance and identify potential risks or delays and propose mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with engineers, site teams and subcontractors to ensure accurate planning and scheduling information.

• Assist in resource planning, productivity analysis and forecasting of manpower, materials, and equipment needs.
• Review and assess subcontractor schedules and ensure alignment with the overall project plan.
• Support claims and extension of time (EOT) submissions with detailed delay analysis when required.
• Participate in project meetings, providing input on schedule status, look-ahead plans and critical issues.
• Ensure that planning and scheduling activities comply with project requirements, standards and client expectations.

المؤهلات

• بكالوريوس في الهندسة المدنية
• خبرة لا تقل عن 10 سنوات في مجال تخطيط البناء وجدولة المشاريع
• فهم قوي لعمليات البناء وضوابط المشروع ومنهجيات التخطيط
• إجادة برنامج Primavera P6 وأدوات التخطيط والجدولة الأخرى
• يجب أن يكون لديه إقامة صالحة وقابلة للتحويل في الكويت.

المسؤوليات

• إعداد وتحديث ومراقبة الجداول التفصيلية للمشروع باستخدام Primavera P6 وأدوات التخطيط الأخرى.
• تطوير البرامج الأساسية بالتنسيق مع فرق إدارة المشاريع والبناء.
• تتبع تقدم المشروع وتقديم تحديثات وتقارير منتظمة للإدارة.
• تحليل أداء المشروع وتحديد المخاطر أو التأخيرات المحتملة واقتراح استراتيجيات التخفيف.
• التنسيق مع المهندسين وفرق الموقع والمقاولين من الباطن لضمان دقة معلومات التخطيط والجدولة.

• المساعدة في تخطيط الموارد وتحليل الإنتاجية والتنبؤ باحتياجات القوى العاملة والمواد والمعدات.
• مراجعة وتقييم جداول المقاولين من الباطن والتأكد من توافقها مع خطة المشروع الشاملة.
• دعم المطالبات وتقديمات تمديد الوقت (EOT) مع تحليل مفصل للتأخير عند الحاجة.
• المشاركة في اجتماعات المشروع، وتقديم المدخلات حول حالة الجدول الزمني، والخطط المستقبلية والقضايا الحرجة.
• التأكد من أن أنشطة التخطيط والجدولة تتوافق مع متطلبات المشروع والمعايير وتوقعات العملاء.
